The mechanical scope includes a basement plant room with air handling, water storage and distribution equipment; a rooftop plant area for chillers and air conditioning units; and full Building Management System. Trox SCHOOLAIR-V façade-mounted, vertical heat recovery units are being used for the first time on a building project in the UK – having been recently introduced to the market – to provide ventilation to the upper floors. The electrical works include solar photovoltaic array to selected roof areas, a full LED lighting system with daylight and occupation control, fire alarms, data, security and access.
