Appointed by lead contractor Morgan Sindall Construction and Infrastructure, Kershaw was awarded the full Mechanical and electrical installation of the new 8,100 sq mtr Leisure Centre.

Forming part of Hackney Council’s plan for the land bordering the top of Shoreditch Park, the three-storey leisure centre, which was designed by architects FaulknerBrowns, is the first phase of the £384m mixed-used community development.  The centre includes a six-lane, 25m main pool with moveable floor along with a 20m x10m training pool with moveable floor and leisure water for children and families.

The facility incorporates a café, soft play areas with crèche and an area for sauna and steam room as well as fitness suites, flexible studios, squash courts, five-a-side pitches and 2 tennis courts.

Kershaw was appointed under a two-stage process and worked closely with design consultants EMEC and Morgan Sindall Construction and Infrastructure on the initial pre-construction phase and mechanical design elements of the project.
