£700,000 of contract wins for busy Stourbridge company
A Stourbridge company is having a busy end to the summer with two more major contract wins.
Kershaw Mechanical Services based in High Street, Wollaston, has won two contracts worth just under £700,000.
They are:
• A £298,000 contract to upgrade the Waitrose store in Wolverhampton. The store is currently food only, and will be remodelled into a Waitrose Food & Home store
• A £400,000 contract to refurbish and extend the Three Shires Hospital in Northampton, for contractor GB Building Solutions. The work includes air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and domestic water services.
These new wins are on top of a £900,000 contract recently announced.
That was to design and build the mechanical services for the new outpatients department at the Birmingham Royal Orthopaedic Hospital.
Mahul Patel is the divisional manager for Kershaw Mechanical Services in Stourbridge.
He said: “The end of the summer is proving to be very busy for us.
“We have an excellent relationship with Waitrose and are delighted to be working on one of their stores locally.
“It’s also great for a local firm to travel to Northampton to refurbish a hospital there.
“With that contract coming on top of the work we are doing at the Birmingham Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, we can see we are developing a real reputation as a company that is very good at medical work.”
Kershaw Mechanical Services is the lead company of the successful Kershaw Group, which employs a total of 183 people.
