Another £2.8m of orders from Partnership for trusted M&E partner
Trusted M&E company Kershaw Mechanical Services has received another six orders from the John Lewis Partnership and its Waitrose stores.
The orders total £2.8m of mechanical installation on refurbishments and new builds for stores around the UK.
The company has worked with Waitrose and John Lewis over several years.
Earlier this year Kershaw announced £1.2m of orders from Waitrose. And last year it was awarded a new maintenance contract with 33 Waitrose stores.
Sales director Ian Greenstock said: “Once again we are delighted that both John Lewis and Waitrose have continued to trust us with their important stores.
“These refurbishments and new stores are very important to the group, and we are delighted to be working alongside them installing the mechanical services.”
He added: “I would like to thank both John Lewis and Waitrose, and look forward to continuing to work with them on future projects.”
The six new orders are:
• The refurbishment of the John Lewis in Tunbridge Wells. The mechanical services contract is worth £900,000
• A John Lewis store conversion in Croydon. The mechanical services contract is worth £525,000
• £540,000 of mechanical installation at a new Waitrose being built in Poynton, Cheshire
• A brand new Waitrose being built in the former MFI building in York. The mechanical services contract is worth £380,000
• A £220,000 contract to install the mechanical services at a new Waitrose convenience store in Cheam, Surrey
• The refurbishment of the Waitrose in Richmond, Surrey, with a mechanical services contract worth £300,000
Kershaw Mechanical Services is the lead company of the successful Kershaw Group.
Parts of the group have a history stretching back 120 years. It employs around 200 people and is well known for its involvement in the community.
The group is a major sponsor of Cambridge United. Kershaw Mechanical has also sponsored the Cambridgeshire Football Association Premier Leagues – known as the Kershaw Leagues – for 21 years, thought to be the longest continuous sponsorship in football.
