Pressroom :: KERSHAW STARTS ESTIMATING LOCALLY IN MIDLANDS

Stourbridge construction company invests in region creating 2 new roles
A Stourbridge construction services company is bucking the current economic trend by creating two new roles in the region.
Kershaw Mechanical Services based in High Street, Wollaston, has created the roles so that it can estimate and quote for jobs locally, rather than rely on staff at its head office in Cambridgeshire.
This will allow the company to win more contracts in the Midlands and take advantage of exciting new commercial opportunities here.
The company installs and services mechanical and electrical systems such as heating, water treatment systems and fire alarms in industrial and commercial buildings.
It has taken on Mark Harper as an estimator; Mark will have the responsibility of managing and developing the estimating department for the Midlands region.
And Dan Lawson will be working alongside him in the role of business development manager, ensuring the company is best placed to develop relationships locally.
“This is a thriving region with plenty of opportunities and we want to make sure we are best placed to make the most of them,” explained divisional manager Mahul Patel.
“Having an estimator and business development manager based locally, this will increase our profile and enable Kershaw to provide the local service”.
He added: “We have had an excellent summer and end to 2010, and know that with these new roles, we will be best placed to going into 2011.
“Investing in these new roles locally will ultimately protect local jobs as well.”
Kershaw Mechanical Services is the lead company of the successful Kershaw Group, which employs around 200 people around the UK.
