Major city sponsor backs Cambridge United for another year
Major local employer Kershaw Group has confirmed it will continue to be a key sponsor of Cambridge United for another year.
The company, which employs 183 people in Cambridge, will sponsor the team’s away shirts for a record eighth season.
And it means the group holds its place as the longest-serving sponsor in the club’s history.
Ian Greenstock from Kershaw Group said: “We are fully behind Cambridge United and are delighted to support Gary Brabin and his team for the next year.
“It’s vital that local businesses commit to supporting local clubs. We’re very proud to hold the record for the longest ever sponsorship of Cambridge United and wish them the best of luck this season.”
Cambridge United’s chief executive Norman Gautrey said: “We’re very lucky at the U’s to have a sponsor that sticks with us through thick and thin. Kershaw is a big company that has never forgotten the community it works in. We’re proud to work with them and delighted to welcome them back as a sponsor for this record eighth season.”
