M&E company takes two multi-million pound orders for 2010
A well-known M&E company has just signed its its first two multi-million pound orders for next year.
Kershaw Mechanical Services has been contracted to do the full mechanical and electrical services at The Hub, for Bedford University at Luton.
The £3.7m order for college facilities is due to start in January 2010, for contractor Kier Marriott Construction.
The second order is to carry out the full mechanical & electrical services at the new Garon’s Swimming pool in Southend on Sea.
The £2 million contract is with ISG Jackson is also due to start on site in January 2010.
Ian Greenstock is the Sales Director for Kershaw Mechanical Services, which has a head office in Cambridge.
He said: “With half of 2009 still to go and the country still in recession, we are delighted to have secured our first big orders for next year.
“Much of our work is repeat orders from contractors we have worked with time and time again and they trust us. I’d like to thank Kier Marriott and ISG Jackson for working with us yet again.”
Kershaw Mechanical Services is the lead company of the successful Kershaw Group, which employs 183 people and has its head office in Cambridge.
The group is a major sponsor of Cambridge United and recently announced a record 10th year of sponsorship.
Kershaw Mechanical Services has also sponsored the Cambridgeshire Football Association Premier Leagues – known as the Kershaw Leagues – for 19 years.
It recently renewed the sponsorship to 21 years, thought to be the longest continuous sponsorship in football.
