Pressroom :: NEW MANAGER TAKES CHARGE OF MIDLANDS DIVISION

Ambitious young boss to lead well known Stourbridge company
An ambitious young manager has moved to the Midlands to lead a well known Stourbridge company.
29-year-old Mahul Patel is the new divisional manager for specialist mechanical and electrical contractor Kershaw Mechanical Services.
He’s moved to the Kershaw base at High Street, Wollaston, from the company’s head office in Cambridge, and replaces retiring manager Graham Gibbard.
“Kershaw has had an incredible six months, announcing just under £13 million of new orders. But I think I can take it even further,” Mahul said.
“This is actually a great time to be in commercial construction. There is lots of work around and an ambitious company like Kershaw is well placed to take the work.”
Mahul has spent his adult life working for the Kershaw Group, joining as an apprentice engineer in April 1997.
He has worked his way up the ladder, leaving a role as senior project manager to move to the Midlands.
Mahul is married to Lorraine and they have two young sons. The family has left their Cambridgeshire home to live in Stoke Heath, Bromsgrove.
He added: “I’m excited about the challenges ahead and grateful to the company for the opportunity. It’s a lot of trust to place in one person and I’m ready to beat their expectations.”
Kershaw’s sales director Ian Greenstock said: “Mahul is a great example of someone who has developed their entire skill base and career in our company. He is the perfect man for the job and we know he will do very well.”
Kershaw Mechanical Services is the lead company of the successful Kershaw Group, which employs 183 people.
