Kershaw Mechanical Services starts new £2 million council contract
Kershaw Mechanical Services has started a new £2 million contract for new council offices.
It is installing mechanical services into Pathfinder House, headquarters for Huntingdon District Council.
Sales director Ian Greenstock said: “We are delighted to be involved with the rebuilding of Pathfinder House.
"This is a major project for Huntingdon, and as a company with its head office just down the road in Cambridge it’s pleasing to be involved in a high profile job like this that’s on our doorstep."
The demolition and rebuilding of Pathfinder House was necessary after structural surveys found the walls were deteriorating.
New offices and a purpose-built customer services centre have been designed to be better facilities for the public.
Kershaw Mechanical Services is the lead company of the successful Kershaw Group, which employs 183 people and has its head office in Cambridge.
The group is a major sponsor of Cambridge United. Kershaw Mechanical Services has sponsored the Cambridgeshire Football Association Premier Leagues – known as the Kershaw Leagues – for 18 years.
