Kershaw Light Up Market Harborough for Christmas

December 16 2021

Kershaw Service and Maintenance were delighted to provide electrical services for Market Harborough District Council's Christmas Lights.

The Market Square received a new power supply and renovated infrastructure as part of the project.

The new Christmas tree lighting supplies includes 120 metres of "event lighting" around the square, a decorative archway, and a removable power distribution unit that allows power to be distributed to 16 market stalls used for food markets, farmers markets, and craft fairs, amongst other things.
The team placed 3000 lights on the 30ft Christmas tree and topped it with a 7ft star to give it a truly festive atmosphere.

The event illumination consisted of RGBW globes that provide over 16 million colour combinations to the market square.

A tested supporting cable was installed to ensure that this could be a permanent fixture throughout the year.  As a result, the lights can be adjusted throughout the year to accommodate various celebrations.

Kershaw is in their 7th year of M&E PPM Contract with the Council.
